NOTICE BOIL ADVISORY FOR:
East Sandusky from Pleasant to Locust, and Willow Street. If your door has been tagged. January 14, 2021 There was a water main break on East Sandusky St. This required us to shut the water lines down until the repair could be made from intersection of Pleasant Street and E Sandusky. When this occurs the EPA requires the Village to issue a BOIL ADVISORY for your area and for your safety. We are testing the water and when it is safe we will lift the advisory. We expect the advisory to be lifted for these customers by Saturday afternoon. Until the advisory is lifted please boil the water for 5 minutes and let it cool before drinking or brushing your teeth or use bottled water for these type activities as a precautionary measure. Water may be used to wash dishes, shower etc. Run water until it clears to do laundry. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you.

The Village will be flushing fire hydrants Thursday and Friday November 19-20. Flushing is done to remove sediment from the pipes in order to maintain water clarity and quality in the distribution pipes. Your water is safe to drink. Occasionally, water becomes discolored after hydrant flushing. If this happens, run your cold water tap for a few minutes until the water clears. If it doesn't clear the first time, wait a few minutes and run the water again. You should avoid washing clothes until the water clears.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and patience. - Village Utility Department and Mechanicsburg Fire and EMS The painting is almost complete on the tower. Both the inside and outside are freshly painted. The paint must cure for 7-10 days, go through an inspection, and then we can begin to fill the tower.
