The Village of Mechanicsburg is accepting applications for a part time Fiscal Clerk with the possibility of full-time employment. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Ohio driver’s license, experience in computer operation, a customer service focus, strong organization and attention to detail, intermediate-level accounting skills, data entry, and a desire to learn different duties within the department, including paying invoices and processing payments & bank deposits. Must be bondable. Salary minimum wage to $21.85 per hour.

There will be an emergency Village Council meeting tonight (June 28, 2024) at 6 PM at 18 N Main St. to discuss the Union Twp Fire Contract.
The village is requesting help from residents to complete this mandatory survey from the EPA. All the residents will be receiving this letter/and survey. The village is requesting the surveys back by August 15, 2024. 
The Village of Mechanicsburg will be flushing fire hydrants from July 1-3.
Flushing is done to remove sediment from the pipes in order to maintain water clarity and quality in the distribution pipes. Your water is safe to drink. Occasionally, water becomes discolored after hydrant flushing. If this happens, run your cold water tap for a few minutes until the water clears. If it doesn't clear the first time, wait a few minutes and run the water again. You should avoid washing clothes until the water clears. A Village of Mechanicsburg tax budget meeting will be held at 6pm on Monday, 6/17/24.
Mechanicsburg's Community Yard Sales are always the 1st full weekend in June (Friday and Saturday from 8am-5pm). In 2024, those dates are Friday, June 7th and 8th.
